I’m Daniel Kummer: a motion designer, art director, creative lead, and lifelong maker of things.
Most of my professional life has revolved around visual storytelling. Motion design, animation, design systems, art direction, and figuring out how ideas can move, behave, and communicate. I lead a motion design team by day, but I’ve always been just as interested in the experimenting that happens outside of a brief.
That’s really what this site is about. Less a portfolio than a living digital studio, where finished work sits next to unfinished thoughts, visual experiments, odd little ideas, and whatever I happen to be curious about next. Some of it has a purpose. Some is just the result of wondering, “What happens if I try this?”
I love the space where design, technology, motion, photography, sound, and AI overlap. What interests me most is the process of making: learning new techniques, breaking familiar ones, and finding unexpected things along the way.
I’ve been doing this long enough to know I never really want to be finished learning.
So consider this site my workbench, sketchbook, archive, and playground.
Have a look around.
